About Us

A trust built on rescue, refuge and second chances

Jan Vikas Society is a registered public trust established in 1996, working for the welfare of street children, rag-pickers, orphaned children, and economically disadvantaged children across Mumbai and Navi Mumbai.

We raise awareness of the challenges faced by vulnerable children and work tirelessly to provide rehabilitation, education, healthcare, shelter, nutrition, vocational training, and opportunities for a dignified future.

The Society operates rehabilitation centres at Koperkhairane, Panvel, and Taloja, offering children a safe and supportive environment where they receive food, clothing, shelter, education, vocational skills, and medical assistance.

We also support needy students with educational assistance and conduct healthcare initiatives for underprivileged communities.

Our Ashram

Our ashram spaces (such as Mermier Bal Ashram) serve as safe harbors providing holistic care, shelter, and educational foundations for children in need.

Our Team

Our committed management, dedicated religious sisters, teaching staff, and volunteers work hand-in-hand to uplift and empower every child.

Our Policy
“Jan Vikas Society is committed to protecting the most vulnerable children, especially street children and rag-picking children, who face significant risks such as substance abuse, exploitation, neglect, and social exclusion.”
