Founder of Jan Vikas Society – a visionary priest who has dedicated his life to the rescue and rehabilitation of street children, rag-pickers, and orphans.

Fr. Francis Mulackal is a religious priest belonging to the Missionaries of St. Francis De Sales Congregation since 35 years. He has worked in rural and urban communities as a missionary and has held various leadership roles in education and social work.
Qualifications:
He founded Jan Vikas Society in 1996 to serve street children, rag-picking children, and orphans in Mumbai and Navi Mumbai. Under his guidance, the society has grown to include three rehabilitation centres, six day care centres, and numerous outreach programmes.
Fr. Francis Mulackal has worked in rural and urban communities as a missionary. He has also worked in various capacities as a Director at St. Mary's Boarding School (Jalna), Teacher and Disciplinarian at St. John's High School, Nagpur.
He taught poor and underprivileged children at Night school in Nagpur. Thereafter he came to Mumbai at the service of street children at Snehasadan under the guidance of Jesuit fathers in 1995.
He was appointed as Assistant Parish Priest at Sacred Heart Church, Vashi. He founded Jan Vikas Society in 1996 for serving the Street Children, Rag-Picking Children and Orphans in Mumbai and Navi Mumbai. Since then he has been involved in the service of underprivileged children and people through the establishment of Mermier Bal Ashram, Koperkhairane, Florin Bal Ashram, Taloja and Day care centres in Navi Mumbai.
