Vaduz Balika Ashram (Vaduz Home) an offshot of the JVS, is a home for the girl children who are poor, marginalized and children of Single parent. This home was inaugurated by Mr. Erich Orpelt from Switzerland and was blessed by His Eminence Cardinal Simon Pimenta on the 21st November 2004. To fulfill the mission of this home, the Franciscan sister of St. Joseph with their charism of helping the poor and marginalized girl children were invited to service
It started with six girl children whose parents were living near railway stations and under the bridges. The sisters would take care of these children ad teach them to read and write. All our children were admitted in English Medium Schools. The education of the children is supported by generous benefactors who pay for their fees, books, uniforms and even food and clothing. The home is dependent primarily on the providence of these benefactors
Florin Bal Ashram was commenced in March 2003. The Fransiscan Missionaries of Christ the King (FMCK) render their service at this centre to strengthen their ministry to the street and rag picking children. The children excel in their studies under the able guidance of the sisters who care for them
